Barry Lee (Keyboards and Vocal)

Barry began his career early on playing and singing in black churches in gospel choirs around the U.K -also singing and playing electric bass for the National Church choir.  After many years playing keyboards in C.I.D (Funk, Soul, Rock) and funk soul pop outfit Sahara, Barry formed Short Circuit, singing lead vocals and playing Fender rhodes electric piano.

In the early 90's he embarked on a solo career to break into the pop market, at the same time composing pieces of instrumental music for pleasure and for performance purposes.

During the summer of 1992 he co-formed and played piano for pro jazz covers band, the Jazz Juniors, performing at weddings, birthday parties, business conferences and jazz club festivals.  The Jazz Juniors toured Barcelona in 1993 and 1995. By 1997 the band changed its name to Meljays and altered its repertoire to included music styles such as Acid-Jazz, 60's and 70's soul, and 80's and 90's pop music.

Over the years Barry has worked for various bands such as Juba, Promise (Acid-Jazz) from Sheffield, The Ben Martin Jazz Quartet, The Ashley Morgan Quartet (jazz) and Upfront. For the last three years he has been the fantastic new addition to the JH-Band, bringing his soulful voice and limitless keyboards skills in songs from Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson to the Kings of Leon and Jason Mraz.
