Here are a few common questions JH-band get asked prior to a booking...





We have listed the most common questions and subsequent answers below. We hope this helps!

What about the first dance?


We can play the first dance as part of our set at no extra cost via C.D or live if possible. We can advise you on ideal first dance songs ,or if you prefer then simply choose your own song from our set list. For an additional fee of £75 we can learn a song of your choice.



What equipment do you use?


We have a 1200 watt Hk Audio Public address system or a 1000 watt JBL Public address system depending on the venue size and the amount of people present. The band uses Gibson acoustic guitars, Fender and Rickenbacker electric guitars, Premier drums and Yamaha keyboards. These are all serviced and maintained every 12 months. We totally trust our equipment to provide excellent sound reinforcement at your function. We have a range of lighting that we provide, please have a look at the DVD as an example. Any specific requirements can be catered for at the time of booking.



How will the band be dressed?


The band and always wear smart attire, the minimum being a suit jacket and shirt with smart jeans and shoes. We also have all black suits and shirts which we wear for more formal occasions, however, we are totally flexible and any requests you may have can be finalised at the time of booking.



What if I want to book a four or a five piece band?


You can request a solo performance right up to a 5 piece if you desire. We guarantee the band you book will be the band who plays at your function!



What about the D.J?


We can provide our public address system for you to plug into with your compiliation c.d's or mp3 player. We can also provide our computer and d.j package which has thousands of songs on playlists that we have refined over the years...everything from ABBA to ZZ Top , once again you can request the D.J songs so we only play the songs you want to hear for before the live music, in-between and after the live music.



How do we book you-what do we need to do about deposits?


We ask for a £90 deposit for all bookings. Once we receive the deposit we send you an email confirmation and then it's booked. We normally suggest liaising two weeks before the booking to finalize any arrangements and organize set-up times etc but usually it's very straight-forward and totally stress-free for you.



What about insurance and licenses ?


We have public liability insurance through the Musicians union. We have a digital copy of our current license, which is often handy for venues such as hotels etc. We can provide you with a copy should you need to supply it to the your venue. We also have a PRS/MCPS "Pro/dub" license which allows us to play music with our computer or mp3 player, again we can provide this should you need it. We also have all the necessary electrical PAT testing certificates, please let us know and we'll send you a copy through the post.
